Groff Presents at NAHB

Baublitz’s Jim Groff slated to present at NAHB Green Building Conference

In February of this year, an EcoHome survey of contractors showed that nearly 82% of respondents were currently following, or planning to follow, a green certification program.

Yet as green building practices continue to gain in popularity and relevance, building professionals are increasingly challenged to bridge the gap between their ability to implement green practices and their ability to articulate those practices to consumers.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) invited Baublitz President Jim Groff to address this challenge at its Green Building Conference in Dallas. Groff will deliver a presentation, 10 Practical Strategies for Green Marketing: Real-world tactics for the Building Industry, on Saturday, May 9.

Groff’s presentation will focus on simple, yet critical, approaches to increasing green market share, including:

  • Qualifying ‘green’ prospects
  • Understanding the importance of certifications
  • Developing a compelling message
  • Orchestrating an affordable marketing plan, and more.

“By the conclusion of our session, attendees will have the basic tools to define the elements of their environmental accountability and grasp the “green” motivations of their customers,” Groff said.

Groff will address the key challenges, and offer practical solutions that have relevance not just for builders, but also for manufacturers and distributors.

The National Green Building Conference, the only conference targeted to green building for the residential building industry, runs May 8-10 in Dallas. For more information on this and other sessions, or to register for the conference, visit the conference website.
